The Elf of Lost Toys

The Elf of Lost Toys 🧸

*Reading: 2 minutes

In a magical forest filled with tall trees and glowing flowers, there lived a little elf named Simon. Simon was special because he had a gift: he could find lost toys. Although he was mischievous like all elves, he had a big heart and always wanted to help others.

Every night, while everyone slept, Simon would leave his little house made of leaves and branches and walk through the forest with his magical lantern. His lantern not only lit the way but also shone brighter when he was near a lost toy. That’s how he found a forgotten doll under a bush, a broken cart in a puddle, and even a toy train hidden among the roots of a tree.

But Simon didn’t keep those toys for himself. Instead, he carefully fixed them using magical glue, shiny paint, and a bit of love. When the toys looked as good as new, Simon would take them to a very special place: a small village near the forest where children who didn’t have toys lived.

One night, as he left a repaired teddy bear on a child’s windowsill, he heard a small voice behind him.

ā€œWhat are you doing here?ā€ asked a little boy who couldn’t sleep.

Simon was startled at first, but when he saw the boy’s curious smile, he decided to share his secret.

ā€œI’m Simon, the elf of lost toys. I search for toys that no one wants anymore and fix them to give to children who need them,ā€ he said shyly.

The boy looked at him with wide, shining eyes.

ā€œThat’s incredible! I’ve never had a toy before,ā€ the boy confessed.

Simon felt a lump in his throat. Without thinking twice, he took the teddy bear he had brought that night and handed it to the boy.

ā€œThis is for you,ā€ Simon said with a smile.

The boy hugged the bear tightly, his eyes filling with happy tears.

ā€œThank you, Simon! It’s the best gift I’ve ever received!ā€

From that day on, the boy and Simon became friends. The boy helped him look for lost toys during the day, and together they repaired them and left them at the doors of other children who needed a little joy.

Over time, the forest and the village began to fill with laughter. The children who once had no toys now ran happily with teddy bears, carts, and dolls that sparkled as if touched by magic.

Simon never sought recognition or reward. For him, the greatest happiness was seeing the smiles on the children’s faces. He knew that even though he was just a little elf, he could do something big for those who needed it most.

And so, every night, Simon continued to wander the forest with his magical lantern, collecting lost toys and becoming the anonymous hero of children without toys.

End. 🧸
