One morning, after a big storm, the little turtle Tina came out of her little house to look at the sky. She loved the days after the rain because a bright rainbow always appeared. But that day something was wrong: the rainbow was incomplete. Some colors were missing, as if they had gotten lost along the way.
“Oh no!” said Tina, worried. “The rainbow is incomplete. I have to find the missing colors!”
Without thinking twice, Tina decided to go on an adventure. She put her little backpack on her shell and started walking slowly but with great determination.
As she crossed a green field, she saw a rabbit very busy trying to pick red carrots from his garden. The rabbit hopped from one side to the other, but the carrots were so big and heavy that he couldn’t carry them all by himself.
“Hello, rabbit,” said Tina kindly. “Can I help you?”
“Of course!” replied the rabbit, happy. “These carrots are very important to me.”
Tina used her strong little legs to help the rabbit carry the carrots to his house. When they finished, the rabbit smiled and said:
“Thank you, Tina. For your kindness, I want to give you this red color. Maybe it will help you complete what you’re looking for.”
Suddenly, a red flash lit up the sky and a piece of the rainbow returned to its place. Tina smiled happily and continued on her way.
A little further ahead, she found a bee fluttering near a garden full of yellow flowers. The bee looked sad.
“What’s wrong?” asked Tina.
“I’m looking for flowers to make honey, but there are so many that I don’t know where to start,” said the bee.
Tina didn’t think twice and began collecting the prettiest flowers alongside the bee. They worked together until they filled their basket.
“Thank you for your help, Tina,” said the bee cheerfully. “This yellow color is for you.”
Another flash lit up the sky, and this time the yellow returned to the rainbow. Tina jumped with joy and kept going.
After walking a little more, she arrived at a crystal-clear blue river where some fish were swimming back and forth. They looked worried.
“Hello, friends,” said Tina. “Why are you so nervous?”
“We want to play, but we need someone to join us underwater,” replied the fish.
Even though Tina was a land turtle, she decided to give it a try. She got into the water and swam slowly with the fish, making bubbles and laughing while they played. The fish were so happy that they said:
“Thank you for teaching us that you can try new things, Tina. This blue color is for you.”
With another magical flash, the blue returned to the rainbow. Now only a small part was missing to complete it.
Finally, Tina reached a hill from where she could see the entire valley. There, she realized that her kindness and effort had brought back almost all the colors. Only a small empty space remained. At that moment, she remembered all the people and animals she had helped along the way. She closed her eyes and wished with all her might for the last color to return.
Suddenly, a golden ray shone in the sky, and the rainbow was finally complete. It was more beautiful than ever.
When Tina came down the hill, she saw that all her friends—the rabbit, the bee, and the fish—were waiting to celebrate. Together, they looked at the colorful sky and clapped.
“You did it, Tina!” they all said. “Thanks to you, the rainbow is complete again.”
Tina smiled and responded:
“It wasn’t just thanks to me. Everyone helped without even knowing it. What matters is working together and being kind.”
And so, under the bright rainbow, everyone celebrated with laughter and games, knowing that when they worked as a team, they could achieve wonderful things. From then on, every time they saw a rainbow, they remembered Tina’s adventure and the magic of helping each other.
End. 🐢🌈
