Eli la Lombriz Curiosa

Eli, the Curious Worm 🐛🐞

*Reading: 2 minutes

In a garden full of colorful flowers and green plants, there lived a worm named Eli. She was small, pink, and always moving under the soil. Unlike the other worms, who were content digging tunnels without asking too many questions, Eli was very curious.

“What’s beyond this garden?” she wondered as she listened to the sounds coming from outside: the singing of birds, the buzzing of bees, and the rustling of the wind through the leaves.

One day, while exploring near the surface, Eli felt something strange: a warm light touched her skin for the first time. She had reached the edge of the garden, where the soil blended with the tall grass.

“Wow!” she exclaimed excitedly. “The world is so much bigger than I thought!”

But before she could go any further, a soft voice stopped her:
“Wait, Eli! Where are you going?”

It was Jack, a shiny beetle who lived in the same garden.

“I want to explore beyond the garden,” Eli replied. “Do you want to come with me?”

Jack hesitated for a moment, then nodded.
“Okay, but be careful. The world out there can be dangerous.”

Together, they left the garden, sliding through the grass and reaching a dirt path. Along the way, they met a hardworking ant carrying a leaf larger than herself.

“Why are you carrying that?” Eli asked.

“It’s food for my colony,” the ant replied. “We’re preparing for the rainy season. And what about you?”

“We’re exploring,” Jack said proudly.

The ant looked at them in surprise.
“Be careful of boots! They can squish you if you’re not careful!”

Eli and Jack continued their adventure, but now they walked more slowly and paid attention to every sound. Soon, they arrived at a small puddle of crystal-clear water. There, they met a jumping frog named Tina.

“Hello, travelers,” Tina said with a big smile. “What brings you here?”

“We’re explorers,” Eli replied. “We’ve never left our garden before.”

Tina told them stories about the places she had visited thanks to her big jumps. She also warned them about a mischievous cat that prowled nearby.

“Thanks for letting us know,” Jack said nervously. “We’d better keep moving.”

After saying goodbye to Tina, Eli and Jack decided to return to the garden. They had learned a lot about the outside world but also realized that their underground home was safe and special.

When they arrived, all the other insects and worms were waiting for them, worried.
“We thought something bad had happened to you!” they said.

Eli smiled and replied:
“Nothing bad happened, but we discovered amazing things. The world is huge and full of interesting animals. But after everything, our garden is the best place to be.”

From then on, Eli remained curious, but she also learned to appreciate her home. She shared her adventures with others and taught everyone how to cherish the little wonders of the garden.

The End. 🐛🐞
