The Brave Frog 🐸

Once upon a time, there was a frog named Tilo. He was small, green, and very curious. He lived in a corner of the Amazon river, surrounded by large plants and mysterious sounds.

Tilo loved to explore. He jumped from leaf to leaf, observing colorful fish and listening to the birds' songs. But one day, everything changed.

A heavy rain made the river grow more than usual. The water rose so much that his family was trapped on the other shore.

—Tilo! —his mom shouted from afar—. We need help!

Tilo looked at the river. It was wide, fast, and a bit terrifying.

—I'm scared... —he whispered—, but I must help.

Then he took a deep breath and took a small leap onto a floating leaf. The leaf moved with the water.

—Careful! —said a turtle swimming nearby—. The river is strong today.

—I know —Tilo replied—, but I have to cross.

He jumped again, this time onto a branch. The water splashed and the wind blew hard. His heart was beating fast.

For a moment he hesitated. He looked back. He looked ahead.

—I can do it —he said firmly.

With a great leap, he reached a stone in the middle of the river. Then another leaf... and another one.

Finally, with his last jump, he reached the other shore.

—Tilo! —his family exclaimed happily.

Tilo smiled, a bit tired but very proud.

—I was scared —he said—, but I didn't stop.

That afternoon, together they found a safe way to return. And as the sun went down, Tilo looked at the river with new eyes.

He knew that, even if the path was difficult, he could always take the next jump.
