The Curious Squirrel 🌰

Once upon a time, there was a little squirrel named Lila. She had a fluffy tail and very curious eyes. She lived in an autumn forest full of orange, red, and golden leaves that crunched as she walked.

One day, Lila went out to look for nuts for the winter. "I must save many," she said, looking up at the tall trees. "That way I won't be cold or hungry."

First, she found a large, shiny nut. "How lucky!" she said happily. She took it and buried it near a rock. But when she returned later... the nut was gone!

—Oh no... where did it go? —Lila whispered, twitching her little tail.

Then she looked for another nut, and another one. She hid them under leaves, next to roots, and near dried flowers. But the autumn wind blew hard in the forest... and some nuts disappeared.

—Don't give up —a little bird told her from a branch—. Keep trying.

Lila took a deep breath and nodded. "All right. I'll look for more and hide them better." Then she dug deeper holes and chose safer places.

Day after day, Lila kept searching. Although she lost some nuts, she always tried again. Her little paws grew tired, but her heart remained strong.

Finally, when the air turned cold and winter arrived, Lila went to look for her reserves. To her surprise, she found many nuts well-stored.

—I did it! —she said, smiling—. I didn't give up.

The little bird flew close and sang happily. Lila settled into her home, warm and peaceful, while soft snowflakes fell outside.

Since that day, the little squirrel remained curious, but she also learned that trying over and over again always brings good fruits.
